Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog. I started reading your’s today and we share a lot of the same dreams! I’m going to be spending some time absorbing your blog over the next couple of days. :o)
I would love to be able to “follow” your blog as it’s hard for me to go to every site I love. Do you have a way to follow other than feeds? I’d love to be able to follow in Google Reader.
Thanks!

If I could figure out how to set that up, I definitely would. I’m very new to all this, and I have yet to figure out if I can even have followers on a WordPress blog. I want that to be possible, and I’m actively trying to educate myself on setting that up. Thanks. I love you blog. Thanks for visiting mine! 🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by. We miss WSL so very much and all the kind folks there. Of all the perks of living in the country, not having the Waldorf School isn’t one of them. 🙂

Hey, I love your site!
The pictures tell me that you live right close to the ground out there in KY. My mom’s family is from Paintsville (not since the 40’s) and I always wanted to take a trip into the mountains to see the “real” Appalachia.
What part of the state are you from?
Can you give me some place to start with research on a trip? I am interested in fly-fishing, whisky, organic farming and mountain music. The “image” of Kentucky is heavy on horses, and it’s hard to find the reality underneath. Thanks a million…

Wow….great site. Great writing. Cystal clear…reminding me of one of my favorite writer/teachers, Brenda Euland.
Look forward to getting back to it.
Please tell me what a Daily Guide is…I checked out the website. Are they simply curriculum for so many days. Or do you write in them as well.
Just wondered.
Thanks…so much.
Best,
Karen

I tried to email you, but your address did not work. Thanks for commenting. The Daily Guide is something that Little Acorn provides alongside their monthly guides. However, it can be reused with any early childhood Waldorf inspired curriculum. I’m using it to make my own curriculum. It is mainly something to help plan, organize, and develop a consistent rhythm.

Hi Kelli,
I am writing to ask permission to use the photo of your great-grandmother for a school project I’m doing on the Promise Zone program. I have been looking for residents of the 8 Kentucky counties involved about their opinions of the program. Many think that the culture has changed too much for it to make a difference, and one person thought back to when every family used to grow their own food. My project requires photos, and your great-grandmother’s photo reminds me of what that woman said. The project will only be seen by my instructor and a few other people in the class. It will not be published.
I don’t know if you are in one of the 8 affected counties, but if you have an opinion about the Promise Zone project, I would love to get a quote from you. Thanks.
